13u DeMann continued success from last weekend by winning the Indy Invitational Championship on Sunday. The Orange went 4-0 on the weekend and only gave up a total of three runs in four games! The pitching was phenomenal led by the arms of Quinton Black and Jace Plothow. The duo each pitched four inning shutouts in the semi final and championship games on Sunday. Both pitchers combined for 10 innings, 12 strikeouts, and no earned runs. Other pitchers that made major impacts on the mound were Jared Galema, Jacob Wilson, and Nolan Evers who all pitched more than two innings and did not allow a run. The Orange offense also stayed hot behind stellar performances from: Logan Shoffner (.750 avg and 5 stolen bases), Jace Plothow (.714 avg and 3 runs scored), Ethan Wood (.444 avg and 3 RBIs), Sam Deno (.400 avg and 5 runs scored), Jared Galema (.500 avg), Jacob Wilson (.800 avg and 5 runs scored), and Finnegan Holden (.600 avg and 5 RBIs). The Orange offense averaged 8 runs a game on the weekend and look to carry their success into the next tournament!

9u Sarver was in Mooresville this weekend for the USSSA Summer Showdown. The weekend started out rough with a blowout courtesy of the top USSSA 9u AA team in the state as Center Grove Red took them down 13-0. The Orange bounced back; however, with a dominant win over Zionsville White in the second pool game. 9u Sarver sported the throwback uniforms for the first time in the opening round of the bracket and the new threads sparked another dominant win. The Orange went head to head with the same Center Grove team in the second round and put up a strong fight but fell short of the win. Center Grove went on the win the tourney, dominating all of their opponents, except the Orange. 9u Sarver gave them their best game and toughest fight of the tourney and overall went 2-2 on the weekend. Strong outings on the mound this weekend from Xander Keeven, Bryce Bauer and Tucker Hunley led the defense. Brayden Sarver, Kallan Fox and Owen Taylor led the offense going a combined 18-36 in the four games.

13u Benbow traveled to Cincinnati this past weekend for a two game set. The Orange took on the Harrison Heat and SWOL Rams Baseball Club. The Orange also had fun off the field going to a Cincinnati Reds game, where the team name was shown on the videoboard.

12u Phillips split a double header against Indiana Arsenal in Markleville, Indiana on Saturday. In their 7-6 win the Orange ran wild on Indiana Arsenal, securing 17 stolen bases!

Orange 10U Proll went 3-1 over  the weekend in the USSSA Class A Super Regional Tournament in Shelbyville. The Orange were the #1 seed after pool play and came up just short in the tournament, finishing 3rd.  In 10u Proll's last 6 games they have gone 5-1 while scoring in double digits in all six contests.  Solid defense and aggressive base running have been the key to their success according to Coach Tim Proll.  During this stretch every player has had significant contributions!  Leading the offense during this 6 game stretch have been Donovan Proll (.636 avg and 10 RBIs), RJ Katter (.471 avg and 9 RBIs), and Austin Wilhite (.625 avg and 5 RBIs). Up next is the School Breakout Tournament in Cicero.

14u Johnson had themselves a stellar week of baseball going 4-1. The Orange knocked off Fishers (Baldwin) early in the week before their tournament at Hamilton Heights. The Orange racked up three impressive wins in the tournament, with one victory coming in walkoff fashion. In the bottom of the seventh inning against the Indiana Chiefs, Joe Shelly delivered. On a 1-2 count, Shelly singled scoring the game winning run and capturing the Orange’s third win of the tournament! Due to weather and school ball, this was 14u Johnson’s first tournament. They look to continue their early success moving forward!

Our Team Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, we are so blessed to have the opportunity to play this wonderful game called baseball. We ask your blessings upon us today and that as we play and compete at our highest abilities we pray that you help each of us act in a way that is pleasing to You and that is also respectful and honorable to our opponents, to our coaches, to our parents and to the umpires. In Jesus Name we pray, amen."
