10U Six played in the School Breakout tournament in Cicero this weekend going 1-1 in pool play on Saturday before the rain set in on Sunday. In their second game of the tournament, the Orange were down 7-3 going to the top of the 6th inning. 10u Six rallied to take a 8-7 lead going to the bottom half of the last inning! Caden Frazier was spectacular on the mound and pitched the final three innings for the Orange. Frazier pitched a scoreless bottom half, striking out the final two Diamondcutters batters and securing the win! Caden Frazier finished the day with three scoreless innings, seven strikeouts, and did not allow a hit! His final strike out was followed by a huge fist pump and meeting on the mound by all his teammates and coaches.

11u Thorne captured the NYB Indiana State Games Championship on Sunday with a 8-6 victory over Noblesville Millers Gold. The Orange battled all weekend and was able to secure the title with two impressive victories on Sunday. In the semi final game against Indy Titans White, Micah Cole and Eli Miller were dominant on the mound, as they combined for a one hitter! The great pitching carried over to the offensive end. There were many key contributors on offense: Brady Tisdale (.833 avg, 5 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases), Drew Fredenburg (.500 avg and 4 RBIs), Andrew Shepler (.429 avg and 3 stolen bases), Micah Cole (.833 avg and 3 RBIs), Carson Thorne (.571 avg and 4 RBIs), and Aaron Roberts (.500 avg and 3 RBIs). With the great showing this weekend, 11u Thorne now has double digit wins on the season!

11u Roach took a break from tournament action this weekend, but still got some games in on Sunday. The Orange took on Indiana Prime Time Silver in a doubleheader winning game one 9-4 and winning game two 11-2. It was a home run parade for the offense as the Orange totaled four homers on the day. In game one, Carter Clemens and Jack Roach both had three run bombs. In game two, Clemens and Izayah Mahaney had back to back first pitch bombs of their own. Not only did Carter Clemens have two homers on the day, but he was a perfect 7-7 at the plate in the two games!

9U Kiger had their best tournament yet to date this weekend at NYB. The Orange put together their best game of the season beating the number 1 seed Westfield Green 12-6 to advance to the Gold Bracket Championship. After playing 5 games, the boys just did not have enough left in the tank to beat a strong Zionsville team, but played them much closer than earlier in the season. Pitching was highlighted by Max Graham and Logan Maiden, each having their best outings of the year. Ethan Minnich, Karch Brandes, Cameron Vaughn, Kaine Eberly, and Sam Rausch all contributed multiple hits to keep the Orange scoring runs throughout the weekend.

13u Coryell played two games in Seymour this past weekend. The Orange took on the Indiana Spirit and the Southern Indiana Venom. Unfortunately the Orange fell twice, but in their 9-5 loss, two players managed to make impacts. James Russell went 2-2 at the plate while Zeke Rohrer scored twice.

8u Hite got off to a rough start to their tournament this weekend, but Saturday morning the boys were firing on all cylinders, and beat Zionsville. According to Coach Chad Hite, Saturday afternoons game was the best the boys have looked all year. They were up two with two outs against a very good Indiana Nitro team, but didn't get the job done and lost by one. Sunday morning they battled in the rain against another Zionsville team, but was beat by one in that game. The boys are right there, and hanging with some really good teams.

Our Team Prayer

"Dear Heavenly Father, we are so blessed to have the opportunity to play this wonderful game called baseball. We ask your blessings upon us today and that as we play and compete at our highest abilities we pray that you help each of us act in a way that is pleasing to You and that is also respectful and honorable to our opponents, to our coaches, to our parents and to the umpires. In Jesus Name we pray, amen."
